Social Distancing Protocols for Silver Lake Football Game

Wauneta-Palisade plays Silver Lake in the first football game of the 2020 season. Below are the protocols that will be in place:
Silver Lake Football Using the current DHM mandates and NSAA guidelines where available, which we anticipate being in place for the foreseeable future.
Hand sanitizing stations will be provided and wearing a mask is encouraged.
ALL PROTOCOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Entrance and Exit Strategies
• Home fans will occupy the west side of the field and park in the parking lot west of the field.
• Visiting fans will occupy the east side of the field and will park along the street east of the field.
• Fans sitting in bleachers or standing on the fence-lines are asked to keep 6’ social distancing between family groups.
• No spectators will be allowed on the field before or after games, except for special events.
Restrooms & Concessions
• Visiting fans will use the restroom on their sideline. A concession stand will be opened in the same building for visiting fans to use.
• Portable restrooms will be placed along the home sideline for home fans to use. The concession stand will be open for home fans.
• Concessions stands may be limited to bottled drinks, popcorn, candy, and hotdogs.
• Concession workers will have assigned duties (i.e. hot dog maker, money handler).
Students
• No Pep Band will play.
• Student section will be modified to follow social distancing.
Pressbox
• Access limited to workers, administrators, and coaches.
Football Game Procedures
• Team boxes are extended to the 10 yard lines FOR PLAYERS ONLY!
• No post-game handshakes between teams will be allowed.
• Footballs will be disinfected at timeouts and between quarters.
• Athletes are encouraged to go directly to the locker room after their team meeting.
• No spectators will be allowed on the field after games, except for special events.
• All Protocols are Subject to Change.
