My name is Dawn Doetker, and I teach Kindergarten at Wauneta-Palisade Public Schools. I am the head girls and boys high school track coach and am a member of the Wauneta-Palisade Education Association. I was born and raised here, and graduated from WPHS in 1999. I attended Colby Community College and received my Associate’s degree in Music. I then transferred to Fort Hayes State University and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Music. Teaching has been a part of me because of the teaching history in my family. I learned this and decided to join my family generation of teachers. I wanted to share my love of learning to others and follow the footsteps of my family tradition. It is my job as an educator to help students learn and grow and build their strengths so they may find success in my classroom and for their future. The 2nd grade classroom is filled with fun, safe learning, and working together as a team. My husband Kelly and I have two children, McKenna (8) and Kenton (5). Both of my children attend Wauneta-Palisade Schools. Kelly is a farmer, rancher, and owns his own hauling business. Our class motto: “ I can change the world with my own two hands.”
